Apparat album

If you haven’t already heard, NPR has the Apparat album, The Devil’s Walk, which comes out next Tuesday, streaming on their website at http://www.npr.org/2011/09/18/140474199/first-listen-apparat-devils-walk   I’ve been listening to it all week.

Thank You

Thanks to everyone who made it out last night for the Vinca Minor show.  We had a great time and enjoyed a beautiful opening set by Sweet Chariot (thank you, again).  If you missed the show or would like to see again, we’ll be playing again Saturday September 24th at Cafe Venus / Mars bar.  More information to follow on that show. Take care.

Show reminder and update

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to remind everyone that we will be performing tomorrow night (Thursday 9/1/11) at the Rendezvous ay=t 10:30.  Unfortunately, Magnog has had to cancel due to health issues and our thoughts are with them.  Sweet Chariot is still playing and we feel very fortunate to have them on the bill.  We hope to see you all out there.  We will have copies of the Distorto 7’ at the show.  These are also on sale exclusively at Wall of Sound on Capital Hill.  Thanks.

Good news and bad news

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that Vinca Minor will be performing at the Rendezvous on Thursday September 1st, 2011 at 10pm.  We will be performing with two really great bands, Magnog and Sweet Chariot - both of whom I can’t say enough good things.  This is the good news.

In the bad news column, the release date of our new album, Capital of Sorrow, has been delayed.  There are numerous reason for the delay, but I hope it will be out soon.

I have recently gone back to Ken Stringfellow’s album Touched and can’t stop listening to it.  I highly recommend it - especially Find Yourself Alone.

Thanks so much and take care,

Matt

New Show Date

Hello everyone,

Vinca Minor will be performing at Cafe Venus & Mars Bar in Seattle on Saturday 8/6/11.  We’re getting ready for the release of our new album, Capital of Sorrow which will be coming out 11/8/11.  We’ll hope to see you all there.

Also, my keyboardists, Julia and Marchette have an Opera/Burlesque group called Operadisiac that will be performing at The Rendezvous in Seattle Saturday September 10th at 7pm.  It is really quite great and like nothing you’ve seen before.

As always, thank you for your support.

Vinca Minor playing Echo & The Bunnymen

Hi Evereyone,

Thanks again to all of those who came out to the show at the Sunset on the 25th.  We had a really great time.

We have been invited back for their May show (May 30th), which is an Echo and The Bunnymen / The Church tribute night.

We are set to play Seven Seas and A Promise by Echo and The Bunnymen and would be overjoyed to see you all there.  There are so many great bands on the bill.  It really promises to be a fantastic evening.

Thanks again for your continued support.  We couldn’t do this without you.
